- Years ago, before the violence got so bad, I was considering retiring in Mexico as you can really stretch your pension check. Now I'm thinking Belize. A friend of mine and his wife vacation there, and it's very laid back and peaceful, and they speak English.

- Actually the "junk mail" is the bread and butter of the post office, and the companies that do these mailings do, in fact, pay postage on each piece they mail.

- Congress is responsible for the poor shape of the post office by requiring it to pay in such insane amounts into its pension fund. If any other company were requried to fund its retirement at these levels, they would go broke in less than a year.
